How To Remove Mold and Mildew From Siding

One of the more common places for mold and mildew to grow in your house is on your outside siding. If you have sidings that have started to look green or dark blue, you may be suffering from the effects of mold and mildew. The good news is that this is pretty easy to clean off your siding and get rid of the discoloration caused by mold and mildew. The best way to do mold and mildew removal is to simply use a pressure washer. Make sure you have the pressure washer turned up to at least 3000 PSI and then pressure wash the side of your house from the ground and then from an A-frame ladder.

During the process of cleaning up your house, you will probably get soaked. If you have a rain poncho, it might be a good idea to wear it. As the water bounces back off of the house, it will get you wet. Pressure washing your siding works great for mold removal because the pressurized water cleans off the surface. In just a wave of your pressure washing, and you can quickly and easily remove mold and mildew stains without damaging the siding. This is much easier than trying to clean it off with a sponge and some soap. Most of the time, I get so quick to pressure washing, that I could clean off a 3000 ft.² house in less than two hours. Most of the time, we charge between $100 and $330 to pressure wash a house. We would charge more for three-story house and houses that were larger than 4000 ft.². A lot of times you can go ask if there is anything they can do to the mold coming back. You can use a type of sealer, but generally it is not cost effective. You just wait to do it and use a pressure washer so that you will not be spending a lot of time or money.
